Dr. Simon Tortell LL.D.
Simon was admitted to the Bar in 1984, and in 1992 was one of the founding partners of the firm Magri Hyzler & Tortell. He is currently the senior and named partner in Simon Tortell & Associates, one of the leading law firms in Malta.
He has held posts on the Board of Directors of the Malta Tourism Authority, and has acted as it's legal adviser; he has acted as Secretary General to the Malta Hotels and Restaurants Association, as well as Chair of the Unscheduled Bus Service and has been Chairman of the Malta Sports Council.
His work on the Law of Succession in Malta has been published by Jordan’s in Hayton’s European Succession Law and he continues to lecture at the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners on the law of Trusts and Succession.
His legal practice focuses on Commercial Law, Fiscal Law & Tax in Malta, Trusts in Malta, Financial Services Regulation including specifically Collective Investment Schemes and Banking. He advised on the incorporation of the first Maltese UCITS III fund

Lee Berger LL.B (Hons) B’ham
Lee qualified as a Solicitor in the United Kingdom in 1978 and practiced in London as a senior partner with the firm of Wayne Berger Levine Mellins and latterly on his own account as Berger Law.
During this time he has held posts as Director of a number of publicly quoted companies in the United Kingdom, Malaysia and Singapore (including as Chairman of one of these) operating in various fields including property investment and development, finance, industrial and mining.
His legal practice focused on property investment and fiscal matters.
He returned to Malta in 2006, where he was born, to concentrate on the development of International Trust Limited.
Lee is responsible for our office in Zurich, Switzerland
Lee is a member of the Malta Maritime Law Association (MMLA), the International Tax Practitioners Association (ITPA) and the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

John Tortell ACII ICFA
John has been involved in the insurance industry since the age of seventeen opening up first a sub agent in 1987 and then his own insurance brokerage in 1998.
He is currently Managing Director of both Jatco Insurance Brokers Ltd and Jatco Investment Services Ltd. He is also a Director of Caversham Insurance (Malta) Limited and Saint John Insurance Limited.
John is also currently Chairman of the Association of Insurance Brokers of Malta and of the Malta Insurance Managers Association and is also a Member of the Financial Services Consultative Council. He forms part of a "think tank" which advises government on matters relating to the financial services industry in Malta specifically on the subject of insurance.
As former General Manager of Heath Lambert Insurance Management (Malta) Limited he has assisted in setting up captive insurance companies locally also sitting on their investment committees.

Kevin Vella B.A. (Hons) Accty., M.A. (Fin.Serv.), FIA, CPA
Kevin holds a Bachelors of Arts (Hons) degree in Accountancy and a Master of Arts in Financial Services from the University of Malta. He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a practicing certificate in auditing. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Accountants.
He started his career in 1996 at PricewaterhouseCoopers and prior to joining the ITL Group, had held a senior position in insurance regulation at the MFSA and subsequently held the post of COO and CFO with a leading financial services company listed on the Malta Stock Exchange.
Kevin sits on the board of ITL Advisory Services Limited and is responsible for the overall activity and client service levels of the Company

Peter Azzopardi B.Com B. Accty (Hons) , MIA, CPA
Peter holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons.) from the University of Malta. He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a practising certificate in auditing. He is also a member of the Malta Institute of Accountants.
He started his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2001 and was engaged extensively in the financial services industry particularly that related to the fund business both locally and overseas.
Prior to joining the ITL Group in 2008 he held the position of Group Financial Controller with a leading financial services company listed on the Malta Stock Exchange.
Peter sits on the board of ITL Advisory Services Limited and is responsible for financial advisory services offered by the Company to Clients

Dr Adrian Cutajar B.A., M.A., LL.D
Adrian holds a Doctorate in Laws and a Masters of Arts in Financial Services from the University of Malta. He was called to the Bar in Malta in 2003.
Prior to joining the ITL Group he held the position of Head of Legal and Compliance and Company Secretary with a leading financial services company listed on the Malta Stock Exchange.
His main areas of legal practice have been and remains corporate law, financial services, financial markets and compliance. Adrian sits on the board of ITL Advisory Services Limited and is responsible for legal, corporate and regulatory compliance services offered by the Company to Clients

Daria Vella
Daria holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (2000) and a Bachelor of Accountancy Degree (2003) from the University of Malta. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Malta Institute of Accountants (MIA) and of the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA).
Her past career includes roles as a Senior Associate with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Malta between 2003 and 2006, as Audit Manager (Insurance and Investment Management Division) with PriceWaterhouseCoopers in London 2006 to 2009.
Her practice areas include Insurance and Captive Insurance, Compliance and Regulatory, Investment Services and Taxation.
Her languages include Maltese, English, German, French and Spanish.
